Sam Marshall
Finance & Statistics Tutor
Hi! My name is Sam Marshall, and I’m a junior majoring in Finance with a minor in Statistics. As a State College native, my passion for the environment began at a young age, inspired by my parents. This passion has shaped my career interests in sustainable finance and international development. This past summer, I interned with Deriva Energy in Charlotte, NC, where I supported the development of new solar projects. Looking ahead, I’m thrilled to join Bank of America next summer as a Global Sustainable Finance Analyst in NYC. At Penn State, I’m involved in several organizations. I’m a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, and serve as president of Net Impact, a sustainability-focused business club. Through the Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship program, I helped develop a social venture in Kenya aimed at improving access to agricultural equipment for rural farmers. Beyond academics, I enjoy spending time outdoors - whether it’s traveling, hiking, or skiing, I love exploring new places and staying active. I’m excited to be part of the Tierney Education team and can’t wait to connect with students.
Random Fact: I have polar plunged in the Arctic Circle!
