Sam Marshall

Finance & Statistics Tutor

Sam Marshall is a junior at Penn State majoring in Finance with a minor in Statistics. A State College native, his passion for the environment began at a young age, inspired by his parents, and has shaped his career interests in sustainable finance and international development. This past summer, he interned with Deriva Energy in Charlotte, NC, supporting the development of new solar projects. Next summer, he will be joining Bank of America in New York City as a Global Sustainable Finance Analyst. At Penn State, Sam is actively involved in several organizations, including Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, and Net Impact, a sustainability-focused business club, where he serves as president. Through the Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship program, he contributed to developing a social venture in Kenya aimed at improving access to agricultural equipment for rural farmers. Outside of academics, he enjoys spending time outdoors, whether traveling, hiking, or skiing. He is excited to be part of the Tierney Education team and looks forward to connecting with students.

Random Fact: He has polar plunged in the Arctic Circle!
