Mary O’Connor is a fourth-year Biology major at Penn State with plans to pursue medical school after graduation. Originally from Connecticut, her experiences at Penn State, along with clinical and shadowing opportunities, have solidified her passion for a career in medicine. She has worked as a biology and chemistry learning assistant, where she discovered her enthusiasm for helping students succeed in the classroom. On campus, Mary is actively involved in the Penn State Panhellenic Community, THON, and BBH research. Outside of academics and extracurricular activities, she enjoys running, spending time at the arboretum, and exploring State College with friends. She is excited to join the Tierney Education team and looks forward to supporting students in their academic journeys while fostering a deeper appreciation for science.
