Emma Bush
Math & Chemistry Tutor
Emma is a third-year Chemical Engineering major with a minor in Environmental Engineering at Penn State University. Originally from Ellicott City, Maryland just outside of Baltimore, Emma gained valuable industry experience last summer as a Technical Sales Intern for Solenis in Philadelphia. In this role, she supported chemical applications across multiple pulp and paper manufacturing plants in the region. At Penn State, Emma is a member of the STEM sorority Phi Sigma Rho, serving as the THON Family Relations Chair, where she manages relationships with the organization’s three paired THON families. Previously, she contributed as a member of THON’s Dancer Relations committees for two years. Additionally, she participates in the Student Farm Club and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). She is also involved with the Student Farm Club and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Emma spent three semesters as a grader for Math 251 and one semester contributing to environmental engineering research in Dr. Brennan’s lab. In her free time, Emma enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and playing guitar.
Random Fact: Emma will be moving across the country to the Oregon coast for her internship this summer!
